This was a mass site excavation drill and blasting project for mid-station construction of a new ski-lift station. Significant elevation changes and difficult terrain made this project particularly challenging. In order to reach the site a mountain road had to be built. All of the product to load the holes had to be transferred to 4×4 trucks to get up to the site. When working in the mountains safety becomes even more critical and Lafferty lives by the adage that “slow is smooth and smooth is fast.”
